As i posted back in September, I flew to Denver and met my granddaughter (Bella) for a road trip to South Dakota. Visiting Mount Rushmore was on the bucket list that my husband and I were going to visit once he retired. Unfortunately, Alan passed away 3 months before his retirement date.
I had previously booked a trip on three separate occasions, but had to cancel my plans for various reasons. Bella and her fiancee visited me in March and one evening on the patio we were discussing my travels, past and future. I mentioned South Dakota and my hope to schedule a trip in the summer. Bella said it was on her bucket list also and wanted to go with me. I jumped on the opportunity, I was so excited to be able to spend time with her, a rare opportunity. She is always so crazy busy.
We had such a wonderful trip!! Lots of laughs, long discussions on almost every subject you could think about, especially her upcoming wedding in 2026. The trip was especially memorable since we stopped at my daughter's house in Colorado as part of our road trip.
When I returned home, I left a couple days later to meet all my crafty friends for a Paper Wizard weekend in New Braunfels. I completed the album during the weekend class and was able to add my pictures the following weekend. I cleaned up my craft room after finishing the album, decided since I was going to be home for 3 weeks (another rarity) since 2020, I would work on the South Dakota trip while it was fresh in my mind. Once I got started, I finished the album pretty quickly. Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed my trip.
Now, back to scrapbooking my 2023 six week trip to Greece and Italy.
