Halloween Display Layouts

I've been working on a few layouts for a customer to display a couple new product lines she has decided to carry in her store.  I love the Little Yellow Bicycle product line!
So cute!

Playing with the Silhouette Pen Function

My pen holder for my Silhouette Cameo finally arrived this week.  YEAH!!!  So what's a girl to do, but play with all the pens I could find in my craft room.

I have decided I love the Uni-ball white pen!  It flows on the paper so smoothly whether it is black, white or purple - it looks great!

I have also fell in love with Infinity Neon Fine tip pens.  The pens are vibrant and no skipping at all - smooth clean lines!!!

Unfortunately I was not impressed with all the Silhouette Sketch pens I purchased.  The gold and silver would not write a smooth line (maybe they were old pens, but I only purchased them a month ago).  The other colors I purchased worked about 50% of the time.  The red, blue and purple worked fine, but the orange, yellow and pink were very disappointing.  Skipped and the yellow you can barely see on white paper.

Take a look at my tests and you can judge for yourself.

Used the Uni-ball white gel pen.

Please feel free to leave a comment with your experiences using the pen feature on the Silhouette.  Happy crafting!!!

Hawaii Album

Oh wow - it is December 28th and I am finally finding time to post the pics of the pages I completed on my Hawaii album.  Maybe I waited so I could reminisce about the absolutely beautiful and warm weather we had on our trip!  It certainly has not been warm in Texas this past month.  First an ice storm and then cold cold weather.

This is the album I created for our 25th Wedding Anniversary trip to Hawaii.  I really don't want to say what year we went, that would give away how far behind I am on my own scrapbooking...  At least I don't scrapbook in chronological order!  Please enjoy a few of the 60+ pages I created for our album.

Awesome Classes @ Stamp Asylum

I was busy this weekend - I attended 4 classes at the The Stamp Asylum taught by Richele Christensen.  The classes were fun and oh so messy...  I loved playing with the Tim Holtz Distress Paints and Stains!!!  Plus - we had a chance to play with the new Tim Holtz glitter released at CHA in July.  Woo Hoo!!!

I was lucky enough to win 3 prizes - so excited, I can't wait to play/use my goodies.

Here are a couple of pics of the finished products.

A very fun class, great product to work with and an awesome teacher!!!

Thanks Richele  (http://californiaartgirl.blogspot.com/) for a great weekend!

Kim's Surprise Baby Pages

I have finally found time to post the pics of the pages I completed back in April.  Robin, Stefani and I decided to create several pages for Kim as a surprise gift for her baby shower.  We wanted to get her started on those baby albums that we all know she is going to need in order to hold the thousands of pics she will be taking over the next several years of their new little addition!!!  Kim was very surprised and I am fairly positive she loved all the pages she received.

All the cuts for my pages were done with my Cameo - absolutely love that Cameo!!!  Here are a few pics of the pages.  First one is 'My Favorite Toy"

My Favorite Toy
Take a look at the book worm in this layout for 'My Favorite Book'.  He is so adorable - and he was fun to make!

My Favorite Book
And last but not least, a two page layout to track those monthly snapshots of the newest member of Kim's family.  I cannot wait to see the pages once Kim adds the photos of that precious little girl.

Monthly Snapshots
I hope you enjoy the pics.  I had fun making them, but it was hard to keep them a secret.

Train Album

Even though Pat kept me busy helping her with her page designs over the past few days,  I was able to complete a chipboard album of a trip to the Train Museum with my grandchildren.  This was really a fun album to work on and brought back so many happy memories.
I remember how very excited my grandson Lane was when he was sitting in the train acting like the engineer and then telling us all about every train.  This boy really knows his trains!!!!  And to think it all started out with Thomas the Train!

I especially won't forget how long it took the boy to decide on the perfect train souvenir.  You can tell from the picture his sister was just about all trained out...

Here are a few pics of the album.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please feel free to leave a comment, I would love your feedback!

Design Consultant Weekend

I have had a great time with my house guest for the past five days.  We cropped into the wee hours of the night every night.  With a little guidance, Pat was able to create twenty-four 12x12 pages of her trip to India.  The beautiful pages we created highlighted the gorgeous pictures she took on her trip!!!  (I think she took 1,000 pictures everyday - seriously!!!)
While we were not able to complete the entire trip we certainly made a huge dent in the effort.  We even designed a few more pages for her to complete when she gets back home to Longboat Key.  Overall I think it was a very successful cropping visit and I can't wait until we can do it again!!!
Here are a few pages we put together.
